Journeyman - Week 2
Starting as a Producer
Week 2, I was assigned the role of producer which mean I was in charge of talking to other teams and getting their characters sent over to us and finalised along with being the main contact between the animation and character art teams. Below is the draft that was sent to me. I had a couple issues with this design sheet, and I believe that I could make a better version that was specific for Astrobot.

I wanted this design to be readable, for both the teams who receive the sheet and the character art and animation teams to decipher once the information was given to us. In addition, it needed to be easily editable, there were going to be changes no matter what and this sheet should be prepared to handle that.
Each team was able to have a maximum of 3 Friend characters (Astrobot Costumes) and a maximum of 3 NPCs (Enemies, Bosses, Other Characters). It was important to note that teams did not have to have 3 characters of each type if they didn’t want to. This gave them the ability to have more complex characters if they choose.
We wanted each and every character to have concept art or at least decent reference for our concept artists to make one ourselves.
Art Test
The other part of this week was starting the art test for the main character, Astrobot, this was really important for when we decide who to give characters to. The leads needed a viable way to test the skills of each person on the team while also making a final Astrobot to give (appease) the other teams and to start the rigging. We used OneDrive and checked the quality, polycount and overall design of the character.
Below is the Astrobot we decided to develop further made by Eugene. 12k
